An attractive lightweight boxlock ejector by Arthur Allan of Glasgow, Scotland. 28″ barrels with sunken rib and 2 1/2″ chambers, choked .000/.024 (about cylinder/modified). Receiver and breech end of barrels feature ancanthus scroll engraving, with the maker’s name in a flowing banner. The Rogers Patent ejectors are strong and in time. The fore-end has an Anson release. The figured stock measures 1 1/2″ x 2 1/4″ x 15 1/4″ over a 1 1/2″ extension. The cast is neutral. The weight is only 6 lbs 6 oz. A fine Scottish double.
