It’s hard to imagine a better grouse, quail and woodcock gun than this graceful Gallyon & Sons 16 bore. The 28″ barrels have 2 1/2″ chambers, and are choked .000/.022 (true cylinder and about improved modified.) The receiver features the maker’s name and acanthus scroll engraving. Some case colors are still present. The fore-end is of the pull-off variety. The stock measures 1 1/2″ x 2 3/8″ x 15 1/6″ over a 1 1/2″ ebony extension with cast off. It weighs only 6 lbs 1 oz – perfect for carrying all day in the grouse woods.
