A fine Holland & Holland Royal sidelock ejector. The gun was built in 1893, and re-barreled by Holland a century later. It is functionally a new gun. The barrels have a sunken rib, and are 28″ with 2 3/4″ chambers, choked .013/.021 (approximately improved cylinder and modified.) The barrels are engraved HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98 NEW BOND STREET. LONDON. The action features gold washed cocking indicators, and is plain with classic Holland & Holland border engraving, along with the maker’s name. The stock measures 1 3/8″ x 2 3/8″ x 15 1/16″. Although the stock has slight cast on (for a left handed shooter), I managed to knock down a couple of wild roosters with the gun. If you are a right handed shooter, it will be an easy matter to have the stock bent to suit you. If you are a southpaw who has always hankered after a Royal, you need look no further.
