Here is an attractive boxlock non-ejector by T. Page Wood. The barrels are 28″ with 2 1/2″ chambers and shiny bores, choked .000/.032 (cylinder and full). The action locks up tight, and has a Greener-style cross-bolt and side safety. The receiver has the maker’s name, along with border and scroll engraving. On the rib is engraved: ‘T. PAGE WOOD. LTD. 28. ST. NICHOLAS ST. BRISTOL. The fore-end has a push-button release. The stock is very pretty walnut, and measures 1 5/8″ x 2 1/2″ x 13 7/8″ over a very good leather pad. The gun weighs 6 lbs 12 oz. An excellent, good quality English field gun.
