A very good boxlock ejector by W. H. Monk of Chester. The 28″ nitro proved barrels are almost invisibly sleeved, and have 2 3/4″ chambers. They are choked .011/.029 (approximately improved cylinder and improved modified.) The rib is engraved: W.H. MONK. FOREGATE STREET. CHESTER The ejectors are strong and in time. The receiver features border and scroll engraving. The fore-end has an Anson release. The highly figured stock measures 1 ½” x 1 7/8” x 14 5/8” with a 3/4″ extension. The cast is close to neutral. The weight is 6 lbs 11 oz. A fine and very attractive bird gun ready for the field.
