A very good 12 gauge boxlock ejector by W. J. Jeffery of London. The nitro reproved fluid steel barrels are 27″ with 2 1/2″ chambers and excellent bores. They were proved at .729 and measure the same, with chokes of .011 and .013 (approximately improved cylinder in each). The gun locks up tight, and the ejectors are strong and in time. The receiver has border engraving, along with the maker’s name. The rib is engraved: W. J. JEFFERY & CO. 13 KING ST. ST. JAMES’S. LONDON. The stock measures 1 5/8″ x 2 1/4″ x 14 3/8″ with slight cast off. The weight is 6 lbs 6 oz. This nice double comes in a very good leather case. An excellent upland gun.
