I enjoyed hunting with this Greener Facile Princeps non-ejector the other day, though birds were scarce, and I had to walk a long way to get a shot. The 28″ barrels are choked cylinder in both, but that was more than adequate for a wild, late season rooster at about 35 yards (using RST 2 1/2″ 1 oz #6’s.) The bores are very nice on this double, and the chambers are 2 1/2″. It locks up tight, and features a Greener cross-bolt. The receiver has scroll engraving, and the maker’s name in a banner. The rib is engraved: W.W. GREENER. ST MARY’S SQUARE BIRMINGHAM. WINNER AT ALL GUNTRIALS 1875 TO 1891 The wood has minor dings and scratches, but is solid, and has very nice figure. The fore-end has a latch release. The stock measures 1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″ x 14″ with a leather-faced butt. There is cast off. The gun weighs 6 lbs 7 oz. A nice classic Greener.
